It’s important when choosing footwear, to select a pair that doesn’t just provide protection from falling objects, but that also provides uncompromising style, comfort and orthopaedic support, helping to avoid the development of health complications in later life. Our range aims to deliver exactly this, with a selection that provides something everyone will be proud to wear. When selecting a shoe, be sure to choose the size that fits, badly fitting shoes will consistently under perform, leaving you vulnerable to hazards and long term orthopaedic problems. We stock safety shoes for both men and women in a range of colours and styles and our sizes range from 1 to 16. Use our easy to navigate size guide to guarantee you are making the right choice.

Current UK legislation requires that construction workers wear protective footwear at all times on site, and when completing heavy work. Bones in feet are incredibly delicate and even the smallest of knocks to unprotected feet can cause breaks, not to mention untold amounts of damage to muscles and tendons. There are four types of built in protection a shoe can offer, these are; toe, metatarsal, midsole and heel impact absorption. Toe protection usually consists of composite or steel toe caps and it defends the user from an array of drops, knocks and falling objects. The Metatarsal protection consists of inbuilt defence, usually in the tongue which protects the user from falling objects, excessive impact and maintains optimum safety during high pressure washer use. The midsole, usually contains a metal plate that prevents penetration or puncture from foreign objects, such as nails and glass. Ideal for those who work on site or in busy workshops, where dangerous debris on floors is commonplace. The fourth level of protection is found in the heel and offers users protection from impact and falls, it is most suited to those who are highly mobile in their working environment.

There are various other kinds of protection shoes can offer, these anti-abrasion, chemical resistance, weatherproof and thermal insulation for adverse weather protection.
